Tuesday, October 28, 2003 Amiel on fire Just back from the Maccabi Canada dinner in honour of producer Robert Lantos of Alliance Atlantis. (sat the National Post's table!). VIPs on hand included runner Donovan Bailey, figure skaters Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, former Ontario Premier David Peterson, Norman Jewison, Atom Egoyan, Moses Znamier and Lord and Lady Black. Mrs. Black (Babara Amiel) was the keynote speaker and gave what I think is probably the most spectacular display of oratorical genius I have seen. She literally had me in a trance throughout her entire 15-20 minute speech on anti-Semitism.
