Sunday, November 02, 2003 Very unfortunate news Mike Harris has announced he will NOT seek the leadership of a new merged Conservative Party. I was hoping he would do it, because I think he had the best shot at uniting former Tory and Alliance party members. Harris would give the new Conservative party instant legitimacy and have the best chance at winning seats in Ontario, in my view. But who knows, maybe this isn't a final nail in the coffin.
