I tried to be positive, but failed

I had an idea when I got out of bed this morning that I would post something positive here. Something expressing hope for the future of Canada and its politics. But everytime I go looking for something on the net to post in that regard I come up empty-handed. Sorry, but at the moment at least I can't find anythying. I get up and see this kind of stuff coming from the national youth wing of our governing party. Here's their big plan for the upcoming Liberal convention:

Advancing progressive policy

Throughout the Convention, Young Liberals will be speaking on behalf of and voting for the following policies that they have brought forward to Convention:

Anti-Ballistic-Missile Defense
Legalizing Marijuana
Decriminalizing Prostitution
Dedicated Post-Secondary Federal Transfer
Aboriginal Youth Leadership and Empowerment

Is this for real? Is this really where Canada is heading? Since when have the Liberal youth been so hard left? I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

If these really are the policy priorities of the party currently governing this nation, there's cause for major concern.
