Tuesday, February 15, 2005 Ken Whyte Belated congratulations to Ken Whyte on becoming the new publisher and editor of Maclean's magazine. This announcement was one of the worst-kept secrets in the business for weeks. It is still a tremendously important one. I have been able to get to know Ken this year in Montreal (he had already left the National Post when I started there and was here at the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada) and I can't imagine a better captain for that ship. Few journalists are more clever and creative than this man.
