I'll say only this: The Liberals have shown again why they're the most successful political party in the Western world. They're absolutely brilliant political tacticians. Have you ever seen a budget that offers so many little goodies to so many groups? Increase defence spending to placate conservatives and nationalists. Raise the basic personal exemption to satifsy low income people and pro-tax cut folks. Spend money on the environment to please the enviro crowd. Cut corporate tax rates to keep Bay Street happy.
