153-152: on with life

Well two weeks plus of suspense and excitement reached its crescendo tonight, and now it's finally over. Kind of just, I think, that it came down to a tie. And of course, the Speaker votes to continue the status quo. Can't fault him for that.

Lots of ifs for the Tories:
  • If only Belinda hadn't crossed the floor;
  • If only they had worked harder on Cadman or Parrish;
  • If only the Tories hadn't worked to defeat Chuck Cadman in his nomination last year, he would still be in the Conservative caucus and would have voted with them.

The wind is out of the Tories' sails and they will now hopefully take some time to reflect, regroup and get back to work.
