If anyone is still holding out hope for a decent resolution to the Kazemi case, you can forget it.
The Iranian judiciary's latest "hearing" on the matter lasted about an hour, and the judge is going to take a week to consider re-opening the case in some fashion. Even if he does, who cares?
Iran has shown time and again it has no interest in resolving this matter. It doesn't care about what really happened, nor does it care what Canada says or does. Justice will never be done in this case, not at least until the Iranian mullahcracy falls.
Another victory for our much-vaunted "soft-diplomacy."
