Nasty little spat over at Conservative Life concerning the Barrie riding's recently-nominated Conservative candidate, Patrick Brown. Blog poster ferret lets loose on Brown. A snippet:
Barrie should have been a safe seat for the Conservative Party of Canada. With a competent candidate it wouldn't have even been close. And yet, vis-a-vis a flawed nomination process, the Conservative Party of Canada has once again selected Patrick Brown to represent it. Despite numerous protests to party bureaucrats highlighting the dubious tactics of Mr. Brown, the Conservative Party of Canada was more concerned with finalizing the nomination in time for an expected election that never materialized. Barrie residents, and Canadian Conservatives in general, are now stuck with an embarrassingly unqualified and ethically challenged candidate.
This prompted Brown to respond to the post in the comments section:
I was just forwarded some of this slander from a friend. None of this garbage is true. None of it. The allegations are ridiculous and have no basis. Enough said.Fellow conservatives should focus on attacking liberals not each other. Best Regards, Patrick Brown.
Stay tuned for more fun.
UPDATE: Fun it is! Patrick Brown's former nomination opponent, Rod Jackson, has popped up in the comments section, threatening another commentor with a slander suit.
UPDATE II: The post has mysteriously disappeared! Perhaps there were legal issues?
