The Quebec election campaign has turned into a circus, with the top stories each day being the leader of one of the three parties defending a rogue candidate's actions. An ADQ candidate bashed gays, a Liberal candidate said not everyone needs a family doctor and a PQ one said there was no genocide in Rwanda. Really exciting stuff.
No substantive policy debate is occurring whatsoever.
Also, Charest backtracked from his perfectly defensible comment that Quebec might be divisible in the event of a YES referendum vote, showing the lack of spine that has characterized his entire political career.
Never in my life have I thought I could consider not voting in an election -- until now.
