Harper's conservatism

My column from yesterday's National Post, entitled A record of conservative achievement, has elicited a lot of response - most of it positive (in private correspondence, at least).

Interestingly, Lawrence Martin wrote on this same theme in yesterday's Globe, although with a different take. According to Martin, events of the last decades have already brought about a conservative-leaning redefinition of Canada, whereas I think Harper has only set the stage for the possibility of that happening in the future.

UPDATE: Andrew Cohen, writing in the Ottawa Citizen, weighs in citing both columns.
