The Wall of Shame!
This
page is an old feature from my website at Queen’s University. It’s a collection
of nasty quotes, hate mail, etc.. from various folks.
Several people have asked that it be reincarnated, so here it is. Not too many
new ones to add lately, but hopefully that will change soon!
Responding
to proposals in my
essay from the As Prime Minister essay contest in 2001:
“From
these ideas it becomes apparent that you do not understand the concepts of
greed, human nature, or of pretty much anything…If you are brave enough to
e-mail me back, please let me know if I have grossly misinterpreted you or if
you just wrote a shitty essay and don’t actually have an understanding of the
real world. I am shocked you received praise for such ignorance.”
-- Email from Inukzand
Zand,
“So I see that Adam Daifallah is at it again … Adam seems to claim a lot of
knowledge about ridings where he knows squat … I'm going right out to bet the
farm on what the omniscient Adam Daifallah thinks.”
-- From “Malcolm”,
" When I attended university
in the 80's, the professors tried to instill in us the need to be critical
thinkers. Adam...doesn’t demonstrate these skills in the least...I question the
lack of compassion and the sarcastic condescension present in Mike Harris’
government and Adam’s column. Adam....you are proving yourself to be a
like-minded cog in the big blue machine that continues to roll over the most
disadvantaged people in our province, and forgets that they are citizens of

"I must confess, of all the truly annoying experiences I've endured lately, reading Master Adam Daifallah's column in this paper tops my list. Who does this mollycoddled little Faunt Leroy think he is? He routinely lectures us on the great issues of the day with a guise of myopia arrogance ..."

"When kids talk a lot of nonsense, I just say they are 'mouthy kids.' However, when I read the opinion of Adam Daifallah...at first I really didn't really know what to say...While growing up in this wonderful Canadian environment, he missed his opportunity to become a fine young man, who would possess family values, respect for his own and other young people's parents."
-- From a letter by Zoltan Bank to the
"Even though I do not support Tom Long, I do pity him that he will have to put up with turncoat opportunists like you. Good luck Tom!"
-- From an email from Jeff
Poole to a Tory youth listserve,
"Adam Daifallah, the Queen's version of David Frum, seems intent on promoting a political ideology based on misinformation."
-- From a letter to the Queen's Journal by Greg Hughes, October 10, 2000.
"Adam Daifallah
has been continually churning out anti-CFS articles in local media ...Unfortunately, Mr. Daifallah is
more about partisan politics than trying to improve education in
--From an email sent to a
public listerve by
"Adam Daifallah, bless his pointy little head, is trying to turn yours. Oh yes, his arguments may sound great, but they are fatally flawed. My irritation with Mr. Daifallah may stem from the fact that he worked against the PC Party for years before he finally showed his true colours and gleefully left..."
-- From a letter to Queen's
Journal, October 3, 2000 by Shawna Motheral. I served with Shawna on
the PC Youth Federation when I was involved in the PC Party of
"While drawing an extremely biased comparison between Joe Clark and Stockwell Day in his recent oped article, Mr. Daifallah displays, with great clarity, his narrow perspective of Canadian politics."
-- From a letter by Brandon Alakas to the Queen's Journal,
"Who, pray, is Adam Daifallah; and by what special dispensation of the Examiner are his occasional vapourings allowed to insult our intelligence? His latest pronouncements...are typical of his shallow approach to problems of national importance."
--From a letter to the editor
by Kim Krenz in the
"My membership in the PC party spans 40 years, so I'm very well versed in party history and do not require any lessons from you. There is a saying: "Experience cannot be bought, it must be earned". You would do well to reflect on this, just maybe you'll gain a little in the next 20 years."
-- From an email by Rudy Fernandes to a federal PC Party email list,
"...since you supported the sleazy Tom Long, I now understand why you can't understand the meaning of the word "respect"...so, young Adam, you just carry on your merry way with your new-found friends in the Reform Party...and then when you have a moment, latch onto a real good dictionary and look up the meaning of the word "respect".
-- From a "J. Eadie" in response to an article in Pundit Magazine,
"Preston Manning will still be the leader of this far right, red neck, prejudice party...you have been pleading your pathetic right wing agenda over and over again...for far too long...The CA party is the same radical/racist party that Canadians in your home province of Ontario rejected out-right twice before, however, as usual I am not surprised that you have chosen to be in the minority."

From an email
from Joe Clark aide Kurt Beers,
"Adam's view of political fraud in Canada was very limited. I hope his professors at university get him lined up with a tutor to broaden his knowledge."
-- From a letter to the
"Those of us who read it were infuriated by Adam Daifallah's article on feminism. Yet another male in a position of privilege and power lecturing us about the status of women. How retrograde."
-- Letter to the Peterborough Examiner by Stephanie Benn, Corina Crawley, Ferne Cristal and Su Ditta, March 7, 1999 in response to a column where I said the feminist movement is dying.
"I suggest to Adam that you look up the origins of the word "Tory" before you go running around calling yourself one...you need to gain an awareness of the word that puts the "p" into PC. Progressive, as in socially progressive, fiscally conservative..."
-- From an email by Clay Purves to federal Tory youth, March 25, 1998.
"Mr. Daifallah has an excellent opportunity every week to raise interesting issues. However, he has rarely if ever shown a spark of imagination or creativity and simply revels in rightwing rhetoric."
-- From a letter to the
editor by Sean McCarthy in the
